About
I am a socio-cultural anthropologist with a primary specialization in France. I have also studied educational projects sponsored by the European Union and conducted ethnograhic research in the U.S.. I am interested in social theory, anthropology and education, youth, ethnography and personal narrative (including autoethnography), political anthropology, and issues regarding citizenship. migration, and national and supranational identities. I conducted research among former Vietnamese refugees inTexas and I have started new research in France on the Vietnamese diaspora.
I am Director of a new Center -- CEUS (Center for European Studies) at the University at Buffalo
